Brand New Redneck Tune
Here is my latest tune. I decided to write a song from the heart, for once. Over the years I have been writing "what they want", and still just got songs published to sit there and collect dust. So, having said that, this is my song. I played all instruments, vocals, mixed and mastered it here in my bedroom. Any feedback will be great! so you played all the instruments! Damn.... I am lucky if I can jsut play guitar!...... I liked this tune...and the message hits very hard to my home..... I went thru it just like that....... my only nit would be that there is just a little too much TWANG in the vox.... other wise is sounds goood on my PC speakers. Clifford

Thanks a lot! The only problem is, this is my natural voice. If I cut twang out, I would have to fake the whole song like an actor. It would be impossible or really hard to do during an entire show. All of the so called country people in Nashville now are from Canada, LA, New York, but not from the country like me. This is the real deal.

Nice job! I enjoyed listening. You had some nice guitar tones going, and playing to go with it.

Wanted to go back and listen again. Good song. Catchy The rhythm guitar...to me it needs to be centered. The separation on the other instruments are great. IMO Edit - I should rephrase that as I'm not a expert in audio mixing...it's just my 1st thought. I don't know the ramifications of moving instruments left/right center... Great tune.

Thanks a lot! I wanted it to sound like a stage. Distortion guitar left and acoustic strumming on the right. Does it sound strange? Should I put a distorted guitar on the right also?

Can you merge the two? To where the driving rhythms are in the middle. It's hard to explain. It sounds like you have the two guitars maxed out on Pan...All left, All right. Maybe meet in the middle or 40/70?

Boy howdy!! Nice one. Great guitar tones and the bass really gets your attention. Excellent performance and mix. The lyrics are terrific. They have that tongue-in-cheek, irony that can be found in so many country songs. Nice one!!! Freddy J

First, not my style of music, but I enjoyed this. Maybe cause it was kind of rock for a country tune? It just had a nice vibe. As for the mix, Sounded a bit harsh in the high end to me, especially on the right speaker. Also felt light to me in the low end, but maybe that's ok in this genre (I'm not an expert). Overall good job though.

Thanks! I can reduce some highs and roll on some more bass. I have about 10 reference songs that I compare my frequencies to, and they were right in the ballpark. I will see what everyone says before messing with it. I really like Now It's HOT - 09 ( very cool tune )

I personally don't consider this country, you'd have to go back a few more decades style wise for me to consider it the real deal, but it's a great song none the less, I could hear it on the radio! :)

I was not talking about the type of music that I am playing. I am talking about my awful twang voice. It is the real deal. I am not trying to fake a country twang voice accent. This is just what comes out of my mouth. Some people think that I am faking it, I guess. Maybe they have never been to North Carolina.

I lived in GA for 5 years in the army, and my aunt lives in SC (Rockhill I think). Sounds like a real accent to me, lo. Shoot, some people told me that I had an accent for a while after I left. I started using Fin, and ain't. Never usta-could though, lol also thanks for the comment about "now it's hot)

I love any kind of music. I will not play in a rock band, or blues band, or whatever. I will only play in a variety band. Anything from country to metal and anything in between is good for me. I get too bored playing one type of thing. It kills me.

Very nice dynamics and production on this one. The only thing I thought was to add just a touch more beef (low or low-mids) to the snare/kick. But that is me, it still sounds great the way it sits. Very well done. Thanks for sharing, Tom
