Bravo to Sonar Programmers!
Just want to say thanks for fixing the staff view issue of not being able to click on note properties when the note was on the lower ledger line and the dotted-note issue where the dot appeared on a staff line! Sonar's coming into its prime. It's never looked better and has many great things going for it. Now, if we can get to those tied and dotted triplet issues, ;>) JG www.jerrygerber.com

Jerry, You've got to be one of the most balanced and objective users I've come across here. Thanks for your contributions. Thanks Cakewalk for continuing to deliver on your promises.

Sorry if I should have started a new thread, but I'm actually having issues with the Note Properties dialog... right clicking a note in X3 in staff view almost never opens the Note Properties dialog, but often instead shows the right-click dropdown I see when I click anywhere else in the staff. Is this an issue that was fixed recently that you're describing?
Cheers, -Vince

X3 is not going to get any updates. If you want the issue fixed you need to upgrade.

So this is indeed a known issue in X3? What a shame that because a newer version is available, Cakewalk won't attend to known issues with older versions. Is it unreasonable to hope for a product that works as advertised, even if it isn't the latest version?

Been that way forever with all DAW makers. Reaper 5 is out. If you own Reaper 4 that's all you get. Studio One 3 is out. If you own Studio One 2.5 that's all you get. Mixbus 3 is out. If you own Mixbus 2.5 that's all you get.

OK, sorry to be a pain, but yes, the issue I've mentioned *is* a known issue in X3? Or am I just doing something wrong, haha?

I have no problem here right clicking a note in X3e's Staff view and getting the Note Properties dialog, so it could well be you're just not hitting the correct "hot spot"

Interesting... it drives me insane. The note will be highlighted after the right click, but no dialog! So odd.
Welp, thanks for your input anyhow.

Seriously, fif... while x3 was a marvelous move in a new direction, it was only the start and Platinum has raised the bar significantly...while a few folks still remain on X3, most of us recognize the value of all the improvements/changes/bug fixes that have been implemented since then...including improvements to midi, staff view, and oh my it is way to insane to begin to discuss and has been detailed many times... Bottom line, move to platinum, dude! It's never been cheaper! it's $83.99 in the JRR Blowout Shop https://blowout.jrrshop.com/cakewalk-sonar-platinum-upgrade-from-sonar-x3-produceror $99.83 wtih code GOBBLE in the Cake shop as a "one time pay" upgrade... Just an FYI...
