Breverb in Sonar X2
Is there a version of Breverb that is included with Sonar X2 - or is it an upgrade/add-on only? There seems to be "full version" for $129 but then there is also "Breverb Sonar" in ProChannel(?). Can someone clarify?

Just to clarify, BREVERB SONAR is included in SONAR X2 Producer. It comes as a VST version and a ProChannel module. We got a lot of requests to offer the full version which includes 3 additional algorithms, so we went ahead and did that on Friday. The full version is VST only.

IOW there is a special edition that comes with the X2 upgrade but it's not the full version. You would upgrade to get that.

Looks the Sonar version lacks some algorithms - but not any of the features/quality? Would that be correct? Oh heck, I just upgraded, so I'll find out soon.

pdarg is correct, X2 comes with BREVERB SONAR which can be upgraded to BREVERB 2 for a fee. BREVERB SONAR comes as both a ProChannel module and a VST. The full version of BREVERB 2 is a VST only.

djoni from the link above I understand that the full version will be included in the X2 PE. Am I right? Just to clarify again, the full version is separate. What you get in SONAR X2 Producer is a special version called BREVERB SONAR which is available as a VST and ProChannel module. It includes 4 algorithms from the full version. For an additional $129, you can buy the full version of BREVERB 2 which is VST only. The upgrade is only available if you own SONAR X2 Producer or add it to your SONAR X2 Producer order.

OK, so I bought the upgrade version today then I find out it's VST only. That's OK for now but I wonder if that version will trump the Sonar version with the ProChannel effect. I really want a PC version so I'm hoping I can have both, but if my history with software is any predictor, I doubt it. Anyone know? ~EFaaT

When you upgrade do you still have Breverb 1 in the ProChannel or does Breverb 2 overwrite Breverb 1?

BREVERB 1 is not BEVERB SONAR. BREVERB 1 is a previous version sold by Overloud. I am betting the BREVERB SONAR PC will still be available but that should not be a big loss if it isn't since VSTs will load in X2.

doriginal asked the same thing I wondered about.I'm really hoping to have the Breverb Sonar PC module in addition to the Breverb2 upgrade VST. Sure, I can use the VST but I like using the PC when I can. Call me fickle, :) ~EFaaT
