Broadcast Wave Question.... X3
Quick question... Does anyone know how to edit the Start Time of a Broadcast Wave in Sonar X3? I haven't been able to find a function, process, or facility in Sonar to change the start time of a Broadcast Wave (clip).
Any tip appreciated. Thanks!

If you are in SONAR, Why don't you just move the clip to where you want it and export the file as a new broadcast wave?
Am I missing something?
I had some 4-track cassette tracks I backed up on SONAR many years ago. Like a dummy, I did not set the backup projects to the original project tempo. When I went to rework some of the projects, the wave files were not in the correct position. I had to move them to where I needed them. There were also projects coming in from other programs as Broadcast waves that had multiple waves in a single track with multiple start times. That was fun too.
If you know what the start times should be, hopefully this would not be a long process.

Also, you can change the clip properties start time.

I have imported a bunch of BWs for a new song mixdown, and several of them don't seem right. I know what the Start time SHOULD be, but haven't found the function to precisely adjust timing (other than sliding the clip around.... accuracy??)

In the clip properties tab, you can directly enter the values you think the clip should be placed at. Are you familiar with that process?

I get this all the time when importing files, they appear WAY out on the timeline. Probably cut and exported from a much longer PT session I would guess. I just zoom out, select them, and CUT. Then W to rewind and PASTE.

This really tripped me up with a sample library where all the files were stamped with a 1 hour start time. I'd drag them into the project and it seemed like nothing had happened. Only when I scrolled waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over to the right did I find the BWFs and changed properties, as Conley has suggested.

I would record with a field recorder and import the wave files and they would be out 900+ hours and I was not able to see them until I went out 30k measure or so and set the clip to 00:00:00.

To be honest, I think part of the problem was a mistake on my part..... My NOW cursor was not at ZERO. I got much better results when I started over and re-imported the BWs with the cursor at zero. There was still 1 or 2 out of 43 that were waaaaaay out there, but luckily the edge of their clip curtain was supposed to be at zero, so I just dragged them over to Start.
