Browser Advice Sought

I'm unboxing my old box of trusty drum loops and want to import them to my computer. I'd like to put them in a special folder on the desk top because the desktop is one of the easiest places to find. But for some reason I can't see the "Drums" folder that I created and placed on my desk top.
 
Would it be better to do this in "Libraries?" I always see the library folder when I click through the browser menu.
 
I have a lot of good backing tracks and drum loops I've bought and collected over the years. Now I'm ready to start putting them on the new machine. I just wanted some suggestions here so I could set this up correctly in a way I'd have an easy adn logical work flow to find everything.

    Gosh, I don't know if there is a preferred or better. I personally keep all of my "data" on a separate HD. It is divided up as:
    Mixes
    Projects Current
    Drum Loops
    Projects BU
    Applications
    UAD Presets
    Waves Presets
    etc.

    You can set your Import settings in X1 to default to that HD so that anything that has to do with production is at your fingertips

    Hi Don,

    What I would do is put those loops on into a folder on your audio drive. Then in X1's Browser, find the folder, and then use the Content Location Preset feature to save that location as a shortcut in the Browser.

      Seth, great job on the video and what an eye opener - I haven't really been using the X1 browser - but I will now! 

      X1E-64bit, Windows 7 64-bit, Sonica Labs Hush QT- Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66G, 8GB  RAM, RME Fireface UFX (using Firewire), 3 eSata internal/many external hdd's

    Then you can make a desktop sortcut to the folder if you just want to have access other than through the browser.
    I have lots of loops and one shots etc, I keep them on an external HD and with X1 it is no problem at all since X1 imports them (so once you use them in the project you don't have to access to the folder they are stored in... ie external HD) unless I completely misunderstand how it works.
