Browser Content Location drop down not going to location???

My very first post, and I fear it's a dumb question.

I've been using Cakewalk products for years, all the way back to CW Home Studio 2.0.  I recently made the move to Sonar X1 Producer and am enjoying it thus far.

However, for some reason when I try to select a folder preset location from the Browser's Content Location drop down menu, the location doesn't change in the browser file list.

I've tried creating custom locations as well.  They show up on the drop down menu, but again, the file list does not change.

I'm hoping I'm over looking something very simple, but as I watched the video on YouTube, it sure did appear all you had to do was select the location from the drop down menu and presto, the file list changed...

Any and all guidance will be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Charlie, thanks for the welcoming words and help.  The trouble I'm having is actually in the little drop down menu where you can essential save "favorite" locations.

So rathern than clicking on Computer, then Local Drive (C), then Cakewalk Content, then MIDI Library, etc. etc.  I'd like to just save the MIDI Library in the drop down menu at the top and go straight to it.  But when I save the location and try to access it later, it doesn't take me anywhere.

    Hopefully that makes sense.

    Thanks again!

bo can do bra...you need to open up windows explorer to the part you want to save it in..drage the file from the t.v. right to that open window(win.explorer)but what happens is win.explorer will close by default becuase it loses focus..so drag it right daown to the tack bar and BAM!!..it will open then you can drop it in and name it/i have like 5 volumes of my own midi loops library
