Browser enhancements nice - but why no drag 'n drop? Lost opportunity.
If I want to move a plugin, I have to right-click, popup-menu, open combobox, select target, click OK...
Why not just drag 'n' drop, like every other Windows program?
Folder handling is also crying out for streamlining.

I can drag and drop an FX to a track FX bin from my CW browser. As I can with any file in the browser. I do it with transport stopped. I've been using the Browser more and more. Its very handy.

I *think* he is referring to the ability to drag/drop sorting the plugin list in the browser, but not sure.

Thinking about this a bit it occurs to me that its not a browser in the traditional manor. Its more a container for things in a per project manor. Think of the synth rack for an example.

If you open a folder with enough plug-ins that you can't see all the categories, drag and drop is not possible because dragging beyond the browser boundaries doesn't scroll automatically. Furthermore, you can't drag and drop to a category that doesn't exist, nor can you rename during a drag and drop operation. It seems the intention was to consolidate these diverse browser-related activities into a single, context-sensitive right-click menu.

My guess would be a bit more simplistic, specifically that the drag/drop was initially setup to enable targets of FX bins (viable drop locations). The tree itself being a valid target for drop was not coded potentially because of the Plugin Manager.

The plugin browser doesn't currently allow for editing of layouts today so there is no drag drop functionality within the browser itself. You can only drag a plugin and drop it on a track or effects bin to insert a plugin.
In the future we may consider editing categories and layouts via drag and drop within the browser.
