Browser in X1 Expanded

The browser appears to be faulty

When I click a file to preview it, it does so but it also tries to rename the file ?   and if not careful and press something like spacebar or letter it blanks it ready for a rename.

I believe you're experiencing a "feature". From here it looks like the browser in expanded has been upgraded with windows file explorer functionality. This will allow you to drag-and-drop into and out of the browser.

It also allows you to delete and rename files from the browser, which it sounds like has been accidentally triggered in your case. Two nights ago, my mouse hung on a single click inside the browser and I didn't notice. One of my samples went to a blank name (as you described-- space bar).

Go into the mouse properties in windows and fiddle with the click rate to make it less responsive. It would actually be nice if Cake made the browser a little less responsive to this, as it looks to me like it's more sensitive than windows file explorer behavior.

Cool, thanks for your help, that makes sense, even if the sensitivity of mouse in the browser does not.

Shall see what edits are available.
