Bryan Adams concert...
Really good show. We arrived at our seats about 10 minutes before the show, and it was really cold inside the theater. Turns out the boiler took a dump the night before, and they hadn't gotten it repaired in time for the show. 34F outside, and probably 50F inside the theater.
Bryan started the evening playing an older Martin, that was mic'd with a small condenser mounted on his mic stand. Very clear and full sounding setup. He played that one for an hour and it never went out of tune, despite some aggressive strumming on some of the faster paced tunes. He switched to a newer Martin for a couple of tunes, then switched back to the old one for the remainder of the 2 hour show.
Vocally, the guy has lost nothing! He started out with Run to You, and sang it as if he had the full band behind him. Not a weak note all night. 51 years old, and he can still hit all those notes. Really impressive performer. Highly recommend the show to even a casual fan.
Fuuny moment: At one point he stopped to talk about how songs have different meanings to different people. He related a recent show in Spain, and a preshow interview with a Spanish journalist who asked him in all seriousness, "What means "I got my first real sex dream?"
