Hi OSD,

I ran the vocals through Guitar Rig Pro 4 ... the '800 Clean' patch. It's the 3rd one on the list.

Thanks and glad you liked it!

Nice rock and ratty rap hybrid.

While the 2 don't mix like milk and honey, I love exactly what you did to the tune and wouldn't change a thing.

The Munster's seem totally out of place but other than that, it is a very creative, well thought out and well mixed bit of work there.

Very well done!

Wow Bub... I finally got around to listening to this and Frank Lee I think it is really good, expecially since it is an alien genre parody sort of thing. You REALLY did a good job and it is inspiring to me.
I didn't cosely read all the comments so forgive me if this is asked and answered but what instrument did you use for the synth part arounf 1:25. I ain't asking about the patch or anything, I am just wondering if it is Dim Pro, Rapture, Zeta, or something else.
Really... I like it. You are both talented and creative.

jbow,

I'm really sorry I never replied to you on this. I missed your post. :( I just sorted the messages in the song forum by most views to see which song had the most views and I was floored to see it was mine! :)

I feel bad I didn't reply to any of you on this, my ISP was practically useless for quite a while there and I didn't even visit the songs forums for quite some time.

To answer your question jbow, that was a patch in Reaktor 5 using the Prism add-on pack. Both of those are free from Native Instruments. The hammond is Dim Pro, all the other synths are Reaktor 5 and Prism.

Philip, WDI, Guitarpima, Bobby, jbow ... thanks for listening and I'm glad you liked it. It was A LOT of fun doing this song. I remember when I started it, it was nothing like how it ended up. I just kept adding and rearranging parts. Probably went through 50 CDR's listening to it in the car. :) One thing that sticks out in my mind is, the guitar lead is the only original part of the song and it was originally in the very beginning of the song. Funny how that kind of thing works out isn't it? :)

Thanks again everybody.

Hi Bub,

I'm sorry I'm late to this party, it's a good one.  I was a little nervous about it being called a rap, but I loved it.

Thanks for sharing,
Jan

This thread just won't die. :) I see my view count has been outdone. Drats, foiled again! :)

Thanks for listening Jan. I've been toying with Bub's Rap 2 The Sequel. It's very slow going. :)

Glad you enjoyed it, it was a lot of fun doing it. I really stepped out of my comfort zone on this one.

Nicely done, Bub.  The guitar solo was a nice touch, and the mix was well balanced on my system.  Way to go.

This thread just won't die. :)

Maybe 'cos of how you plug it every single time you post ?  ;)

I don't suppose you're really interested in still tweaking at this stage, but FWIW Like the mix of the insts, but the vox are kind of buried to my ears making it hard work to hear what you're saying at times. Maybe that's a style thing, but it's a little distracting to me.

Rimshot, Twisted6's, MGH, drumstixkev, Lynn, dubsciple, thank you so much for listening to this, especially so long after it was originally posted. As you can see, I removed it from my sig. Time for a change, so it will fade away in to the digital abyss now I suppose. I always considered it my best recording as goofy as it was.

@paulo: I tinker with it from time to time. I accidentally overwrote the project that this MP3 was made from and haven't even been able to come close to getting it to sound remotely as good as the version in the link in this post. So, yeah, I do tinker with it, but it's a lost cause now. It's butchered, and it's such a behemoth of a project I'll never get it back in to shape.

Nice work. You have a cool groove going. Like it. Sorry to hear you lost the project. Had that happen too, and it is remarkable how nearly impossible it is to recreate something.

Cheers
