Buffer settings ?

Having serious "crackling" issues in Sonar 8.5.3 when Gearbox is opened. During record and playback. No clipping, ALL buffers set at 512, Input Latency in Gearbox set at default ( 1 notch above Extra Small ), all drivers are updated for both applications. Have been messing with all the buffers for about 2 days now with no luck. Also spent a good amount of time searching threads and had no luck with this specific issue. Any one have any ideas ?        Hope everyone is having a good day.

I should add, i've checked and unchecked "Share driver with other programs".

So what is 1 notch above extra small? 64? 128? 256? Your buffers should match I think. I'm not familiar with Gearbox but extra small is a bit vague. With the computer you're using, you should get great latency figures with 256 buffers no matter what you're doing.

In GearBox there is a slider to adjust Input Latency Monitoring. Thats what i was referring to. Above that is buffer selection very similiar to what you see in Sonar when choosing buffers. And , yes , they are set identically.
