Bug report question

My DAW is not connected to the internet. I connect it to update programs.

The report is saved when not connected.

Question is; Will it automatically be sent when PC is connected or does one need to send it? If
one needs to send it what is the procedure and where exactly is it saved?

No... it will be sent if you are connected to the internet the NEXT TIME you have a crash and it tries to send a bug report.

So if I'm never connected when it crashes no reports will ever be sent. A useless function in
    my case then.

That's the way it's done for me... I live in the booneys.... no chance of getting decent net... but every once in awhile when I'm connected through my cell phone, I'll try to get it to crash like it did before.... sometimes whatever I did was a fluke.

Such a tool IMO shouild have been designed to send the file when a connection was
made if not one when report generated.

At least I'll know next time not to waste my time filling out the section for details
    when it crashed. Pfttt.

There's gotta be a way to access those reports. I'm sure tech could explain how. I've got a few myself but they are from X1 so it's probably moot at this point.

Explain? They should have designed it to mail them when the PC did acquire a connection.
    ( if they didn't...what do I know?....maybe travis does)

Well there should be at least a setting somewhere. I'd be a little freaked out if Sonar fired up as soon as I plugged into the modem.

I'm crawling my way through the manual so if I find something I'll let you know... but it's slooow goin'.

    Cheers.

there is a way to manually access the Minidump and send that to tech support, but a manual ticket would have to be filled out, and, the minidump file would need to be copied into the report.

    i7, 16G DDR3, Win10x64, MOTU Ultralite Hybrid MK3
Yamaha MOXF6, Hammond XK3c, other stuff.

Thanks Reece but I'm not interested.

I was interested in the auto generated report and doing whatever I could to assure they would receive it...but I figure it's working just as they intended.
I also thought that they wouldn't mind answering my questions and informing me ....and maybe they will.
If they do, good. Until they do, I'm done with it.
