Build 245! Wow!

I just want to thank you guys at Cake for this last build. I had the note duration problem on my floating Smart Tool. This patch fixed it and I am blazing through the staff view! I have been putting X1 thru the paces this morning and it is so rock solid and my workflow is so fast I can't believe it! I'm sure some bug somewhere will rear it's ugly head, but for now, I can only say THANKS! I applaud the Quickfix idea, whoever concieved it.

    Sid,

I downloaded the quickfix but didn't install it yet but what was fixed with the note duration smart tool?  Is it back the way it used to be, the last note duration edited, the length of any new notes?

    Would be great.

Customers had been asking for it for a few years. So you should thank the vocal minority for pushing for it, and cake for listening to their customers (again).

The problem was the note selector on the floating Smart Tool would only write 16th note durations no matter what you switched it to. The note duration worked fine on the Control Bar,Top Left!
It was really slow having to move the mouse to the top of the screen to select a note and then back in position to write it.
Now with it working again, It's fast!

If I had a wish it would be for the Staff View to be improved! I would even settle for a separate notation program that ran inside or alongside X1. I hope that comes down the pike pretty soon.
I write a lot of orchestrations and it really bugs me that the treble clef is there for the violins, the bass clef is there for the cellos and basses. But, There is no C clef for the Violas. Even Cubase and Logic have that.
I would love to see Cake do something along these lines, as soon as they get X1 as close to fixed as possible.

Check out post #4 of what we could have if Cakewalk fixes the note duration keybindings in the Staff View:

(or maybe Cakewalk is working on putting those note duration icons back into the Staff View!!!)
