Bundle file problem

I have Sonar 4.0.3 and when I try to back it up to a bundle file I get "Unable to write output file. The audio disk may be full." I have also tried to save it on an external Hard disk and the same thing happens. How can I fix this

What are you trying to back up as a bundle file? A project? Are you doing a File-Save As and then selecting CWB? Your question is not clearly worded.

One possibility may be that the bun file would be bigger than the max allowed. Either way, best way to fix it, imho, is by not using bundle files - they're an anomaly from PA9 days when Cake didn't have Per Project Folders. If you haven't already saved this file as per project, then I'd suggest you do so. See Chapter 19 of manual, Audio File Management for the full low down.

You can then just back up the project folder on to DVD, hard disk, whatever.

Bur why? What can you do with a bundle file that you can't do with Per Project Folder?

    Hi Charlie:
If you think that the "real" total size of all the tracks is less than 2 gig, then highlight all the audio tracks and do "apply trimming".
S4 has a nasty habit of still keeping deleted audio tracks when you do editing, so therefore, all those tracks are still there, meaning creating total size over 2 gig.
This never happened in S1. I already wrote to Ron K. about this. I think it has something to do with track folder, and somehow, S4 got confused and kept all deleted audio portions, as if you are comping.
    Hope this helps.
    Sincerely.
