Burner not working

Hi, I have Cakewalk PyroPlus and I recently had to have my hard drive reformatted do to a virus and had to purchase a new Sony Optical Drive (DRU-830A) .... when I reinstalled my PyroPlus and tried to burn a music CD it did not work.

I checked the Sony and it does burn from a different software, NERO, just find. I reinstalled PyroPlus again and still it will not burn the CD. HELP.... what can I do to correct this snafo.

    Hey Joe,

    I've had similar issues burning audio CDs in Pyro 5. I had a couple of suggestions from Cakewalk Tech Support, but they did not work. I know this may sound silly, but try using a different brand of CD in your burner. I went through ten or twelve Memorex CDs and received the same error message each time. I tried a Staples CD and it works.

    Sorry for the long delay in answering you... Cakewalk sent me a new Pyro 5 and it now works.... thanks for the input.... have a great day.
