Bus Templates?
I've RTFM regarding track templates and project templates and all works fine. But what about bus templates? I don't see any reference in the manual or anything within Sonar that would allow me to create a bus template. There's gotta be a way, right? I'm not getting an option to save an existing bus as a template, like I get on individual tracks. What am I missing here? Thanks. ~Jeff

From what I remember, I haven't seen anything regarding bus templates. Track templates - yes. Bus templates no. You can also save a project template with buses included. Lastly, if you save a track template that has an attached bus, that track template will include the bus as well.

Hmmm. I didn't know that about the track template with attached bus. But what I'm trying to do is create a bus template (e.g. Lead Vox Bus) from a finished project, and insert that saved bus template into another existing project. I guess this should be a feature request?

Feature request - yes... In the meantime, take the vocal track (with the attached bus) from the finished project and save it as a tracktemplate (name it...errr - vox bus track??? ). Then call it up in your existing project and move the vocals over to that track...

Yep. That was gonna be my work-around. Thanks so much Arlen.

With aux tracks and patch points anything that can be done with a bus can be done with a track template except have the aux tracks show up in the bus area.

You're welcome Jeff. Glad to help. And remember what Steve said about the aux tracks. If you get familiar with them, they are WAY convenient!
