Butterfly

I posted this about 18 months ago but was never really happy with the mix and shizzle so I redid it.
It's an original written by me, lead vocals by me and backing vox by the current Mrs Daryl1968.
Lyrics are with the Soundcloud link.

Let me know what you think

Great tune Mr. and Mrs. Daryl!  Beautiful writing, performance and production.  Love it.

Fantastic as-is, but if I had to nitpick something, I'd say maybe consider taking some of the top end EQ off the bass guitar to make it compete less with other elements in the mix.

Daryl. I didn't know you sang also. Well done on the vocals. Technically I can't really find anything wrong with this mix other than maybe descretionary adjustments. I liked it as is all round'. You put it together very well both in music and lyrics.

Stellar mix - you can fall into it.  Love the groove, and the doubled chorus.  Very delicate.  Nice fx on the missus.  Enjoyed it as a song.

Good job, Daryl.  I remember it for before.  It was good then, but even better now.  I think it should be on a movie soundtrack.

Man, I really dig this mood and chorus a lot.  The music is great, vocals fit really well.  Nice texture to the voices, and you all didn't push it with high register climaxes and all that business, so way to hold back and deliver what the song called for.  I was interested the whole time...but...the lyrics are a bit cliche. Not throwing stones either, I fight with the same thing when I write - I'm always singing about 'flying' too, spreading wings, all that.

Butterfly is nice, I love that..but I wish you had changed up the following lyrics to something a bit more original.  I'm being an ass because I love the song, a lot.  It's really cool.  I guarantee I could play this at a party and everyone would think this is some new hit on the radio.  Nice delivery, good melodies.
