Buying Sonar 5

Hi I have been a long user of Cakewalk .

I recently recieved an email from someone offering to sell Sonar 5 Producer for $29.98.
I thought this would be a great deal but after looking on Cakewalks site there is no way this could be a legitamate retail version considering it is $599.

Here is what the email said:

IT IS A FULLY REGISTERED VERSION WHEN INSTALLED ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS REPLACE ONE FILE. IT COMES IN CD SLEEVE NOT ORIGINAL RETAIL BOX (FOR WINDOWS ONLY)
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU EMAIL YOUR QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING IF UNSURE WHAT YOU MIGHT BE GETTING.

Are there versions out there for this price? I do not want to buy a copy becuase I believe it is not right. I have been using Cakewalk Sonar 2 for some years now and have read on all the improvements in this new version on this website.

Not legit versions. I'd look elsewhere if you want to purchase S5.

Sounds stolen to me...I'd forward the ad/email to Cakewalk--personally.

    Not to mention ILLEGAL!

I have been using Cakewalk Sonar 2 for some years now and have read on all the improvements in this new version on this website.

If your Sonar 2 is a registered legal version, then you can upgrade to Sonar 5 Studio for $99 or Producer for $249. If its not a legal version, then please go elsewhere for help. We don't support pirates on this forum.

Isn't that the price for the Cakewalk Music Creator 3 ??

You won't get updates for Sonar and discount on Cakewalk products If you use the serial number they provide you with. So won't be able to register it either. I think this is one of those give me $29.99 and I will send you a Sonar 5 DVD. (I didn't say it would be a functional DVD)

    AVOID AT ALL COST !!

    Peace

    Peace,

Musician's Friend is selling the full version 5PE for $499 or SE for $299 and will add the Sonar 5 Power book for free (I think it goes for about $30). Also since it is over $100, shipping is free and there is no tax on it if you live outside of Missouri or Kansas. Not a bad deal for the full version and it is totally legal.
