Bypassed AmpliTube in PC FX Chain Causes Trouble

If I bypass Amplitube 4 (VST2, 64bit) in an FX Chain placed in the Pro Channel, it often creates an audible plop and all following (and sometimes also previous) modules indicate a very loud (but indeed not audible) signal. Sometimes, AmpliTube even crashes Sonar.

I have this problem only for AmpliTube 4, and only when it is in a FX chain of the PC, not in the regular FX bin. So, it is something in the interaction of PC FX Chain and AmpliTube. It is not strictly reproducable, but it happens often. It happens without any playback and even for otherwise empty audio channels or busses.

If the FX Chain contains other plugins, bypassing the other plugins causes the same problem, even after removing AmpliTube 4, but only until I remove all plugins. It doesn't happen again for other plugins, until I add AmpliTube 4.
