C:\Users\autobuild.IS-NETWORKS\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk
I noticed that the shortcut shown here under "C:program files/cakewalk/platinum" is a dead link that only shows an error when clicked. Under explorer properties (right click the shortcut) it is listed as: "C:\Users\autobuild.IS-NETWORKS\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk" Is this correct? It used to be: %appdata% which was accessible.

I reported this an update or two ago. It appears to be fixed now in the latest release. For me anyway ...

So, Bob. Are you saying it should NOT show properties as: "C:\Users\autobuild.IS-NETWORKS\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk" I'm on the latest build. pwal. "looks like a hangover from a build machine?" What does that mean? Thanks

Timidi it should say in the Target line of the Shortcut Tab of the Properties %APPDATA%\Cakewalk

Ok, Mine says "C:\Users\autobuild.IS-NETWORKS\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk" in 'target'. and %APPDATA% in 'start in'. Is this something that's been discussed? Google finds nothing. It's a Cake issue? Not a Tim issue? So, just manually change it to %APPDATA% and all is well ??

It should be "%APPDATA%\Cakewalk" without the quotes ...

timidi pwal. "looks like a hangover from a build machine?" What does that mean?
that meant i was speculating that the software build system left an unwanted artefact or you are logged on as "autobuild.IS-NETWORKS" yourself or your system was installed by "autobuild.IS-NETWORKS"?

Was your machine setup by a 3rd party? If so perhaps it a left over from their installation process that they didn't correct when machine was handed over.
I'm just clutching at straws. But as has been said several times it should read %APPDATA%\Cakewalk

Open a command prompt and execute the following command: echo %appdata% What do you get?

Ok, got it, %APPDATA%\Cakewalk. Still concerned as to why the wrong link was there. I'm having troubles getting 8.53 and splat to be on the same machine. Mostly the splat Plugin manager has screwed up my 8.53 install. Here's what came up Bit. Thanks. C:\Users\tim\AppData\Roaming

I built this machine in 2011. specs in sig. I recently (a week ago) re-installed everything from Windows on up. So, I just recieved an email just now from cakewalk stating that indeed the wrong link (C:\Users\autobuild.IS-NETWORKS\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk) was due to Cakewalk and was addressed in the newest build.
