CAKEWALK PYRO 5 AUDIO CONFIGURATION

Cakewalk Pyro 5 will not allow me to rip tracks or play tracks.  I was told I need to do an audio configuration, can anyone provide me the steps to fix this issue.  I have already looked under the option menu, and to no avail there is not anything you can do under the option tabs.  Anymore suggestions????

What version of Windows? It may not work with Windows 7 because its quite old.

If you have XP, it should use whatever soundcard you have configured in Windows. Go to the Windows Control Panel - Sounds - Audio tab and make sure your computer's soundcard is selected for audio recording and playback. Check the Windows Device Manager to make sure they are working correctly. Can you play a CD using Windows Media Player? If not, then maybe your CD player isn't working.

I got a new computer with Windows 7 and the old Pyro 5 program would not work. I downloaded the Pyro Audio Creator 1.5, but I haven't been able to figure out all of the controls yet.

Yeah, Pyro 5 doesn't work in Win7. Oddly enough, though, Pyro 2003 (certainly) and 2004 (iirc) do . . . I use Pyro 5 in the XP virtual machine when I need to.
