CD Text writeable software doesn't work w/o CD Text writeable drive: help: need a drive

i have searched far and wide, but i can't seem to find a drive that will list ISRC/bar code writing as a feature for a CD burner.  and apparently, Plaxtor doesn't make their own drives anymore, so they are not an option.  preferably looking for an external drive under $100 bucks . . . any ideas?

3.5 Ghz AMD 6-Core/16 gigs RAM, Roland Quad-Capture, Win 10, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Komplete 10, z3ta+, Z3TA+ 2, Rapture, Maschine 2.7 (MKI & Jam), Melodyne 4 Studio, Ozone 4, Jam Origin MIDI Guitar 2, Schecter Damien Elite, Fender Sonoran w/TronicalTune Plus installed, etc

ISRC/bar code writing as a feature for a CD burner

That would be a feature of the CD writing software application not the hardware you are using to burn the CD. The registration code (from which the track code is constructed has to be obtained from the ISRC.

    from their site FAQ:
"Q. How can ISRC be encoded or read?
In the case of Compact Discs the ISRCs and other PQ-data are encoded in the disc sub-code (Q channel) in the disc mastering process. For this reason, ISRCs must be encoded for each track in the Pre-Master for CD. Most commercial mastering software applications have a field dedicated for ISRC."

    The US agency is:

i already have had my ISRC codes sent to me, and i've used both Nero and CD Architect 5.2 to attempt this, but EAC says my internal drive (computer is less than one year old) is not compatible to write ISRC . . . so . . .

I don't suppose you know what drive you have? If it is inside a laptop, it might announce itself under device manager. I suspect you are not finding specs listing the ability to write to the Q channel for a CD writer, because it is almost universal in newer drives.

Are you able to burn any audio disk that plays in a standard player with your drive? You are burning disk at once?

the drive seems to be a generic that was pre-installed with Gateway DX-4300, and i've googled the model # (which i don't have in front of me) and there is virtually nothing written about it anywhere
