CHange multis on korg x50

Hi,

I have searched and read the first 4 pages of posts yet i cant do what i want yet.

I am using cakewalk and the korg x50 in multimode. I want to be able to use midi to change from multi 001 to multi 002, etc.

I dont need to change patches within the multi. I think i have the global settings correct. I am just not sure what to send from cakewalk. I read something about a "song select" message.

I could use some help. all the rest of my rig is automated except the multi changes. Beer goes to the winner.

Thx,

J

You need the instrument file (INS). Look at the download section of cakewalknet.com and download the INS file for that instrument if they have one. Then follow the instructions in the Help menu for installing an Instrument file.

That instrument file was super helpful but what i ended up doing to change multis is send sysex messages formatted as F0 F3 ## F7 where ## is the number of the multi that i wanted to use.  Basically i just select back and forth between multi 00 and 01 for different songs.
