CHanging colors - some are broken?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the grey panel behind the faders called the "Console View Strip Background" ?

I'm trying to get away from the dull grey and have attempted to change it, saving my own color scheme ( SK_1 ) multiple times and it doesn't work.
I just used pink to make it really obvious if something else was being effected by that color change ... but nope.
There is nothing pink in the whole console view after making the change.

Some of them work and some of them don't. I have restarted X2 mutliple times. Deleted and recreated my color change on the stip background multiple times also but still no change.

Try as you may, they aint gonna change for ya.

The CV Strip backgrounds are now graphic files that cannot be changed without extracting and repainting them.

Panu at SonarMods.com is working on a utility to handle this. Check it out.

Cakewalk left several now-defunct colors in the list. They are carry overs from the previous generation of Sonar.

Best part is there's changeable colors still in the registry but not in the list so you have to go into the registry to change them. You can also import Sonar 8 and before color sets into X1/2 with interesting results.

If you want to know what colors can/can't be changed, create a TEST color set:

    1. Select ALL the colors
    2. Make them PINK
    3. Save them as "All Pink"
    4. Click OK
    5. Close Sonar
    6. Reopen Sonar

Whatever isn't Pink can't be changed.

      Thank you both!

Now all I need to do is discover if X2 can filter controllers in PRV
as good as 4.0.2 ... or even reasonably well.

So far all I'm finding is unusable chaos.

    Any thoughts?

"It ain't gonna happen" is a valid response if true.

    Thanks!
