That's pretty cool stuff really.  Enjoyed the song through-out.  Great beat and drive.  A lot of variation that keeps everything involving and interesting.  Good synth work and sample chopping.

Nice job with the vocode. See... roboto voices can be cool when you keep things classy and subtle. That lead vocal sounds like Dale Bozzio... Funny how the autotune gives it that extra Dale Bozzio sound, while Dale Bozzio would have gotten that sound pre-autotune... :)

    Awesome mix.

Usually I lose interest in this type of music about halfway through, but this broke my attention span barrier. It's great all the way through. Congrats on getting in to CMM.

    OK,

After reading Bubs comments I had to take a second listen... I didn't get to far in the first try.

Yes... this song definitely has it going on.

It's got great tonality... I love the sawtooth bass and the sincerity of just locking it down. I like the fact that the drums are not used so much as texture fill but rather as the groove.

I like all the movement within the song and the the turn arounds.

The vocals work well as both texture and lyrical content.

If I had any criticism... it's that the song ended too soon AND I WAS LEFT WANTING MORE!!!

edit to add: it seems like the reverb nation server just crashed... I'll be back for more!!! I want to hear this on my big system.

    best regards,
    mike

    Hi Fried,
This mix sounds fantastic on my smaller systems.

On my big system the bass gets fairly loose.

I really like the overall feel and vibe so just wanted to pass on some info that might be useful.

    best regards,
    mike

Good to know for sure! I don't get a chance to hear my mixes on big systems. I was always taking more bass away instead of "tightening" it up. Thanks!

Sounds really good.  You keep the flow going and that seems to be the trick with this genre.  Congrats on the mag pick!!
