CPU after August update

Just a quick kudos to the bakers here. As others have reported, CPU usage seems better after the August update. I was curious to see if I found a noticeable difference, so I loaded up a modest track I'm working on (31 tracks, mostly audio with a couple synths and guitar fx sims, lots of take lanes, various PC and other VST effects on every track) and took a screen shot of the CPU meter.

Here it is with the July update:

And now with the August update:

I've noticed the core 1 utilization has improved pretty much across the board just as it has in that project.

Really good update so far. Thanks bakers!!

Yep, early access. No problems at all so far with it, and the CPU benefits alone have been a really big deal for me. I actually took the project mentioned in my OP down to 64 samples of latency and it ran great. Thinking about trying out 32 samples later today...

    Happy camper here.

Just installed it and yes, improved performance and 1st core being used the least. Even with my network adapter enabled and while online typing this. Interesting!

Yes, I too have noticed better cpu performance, seeing some graphical goofiness taking place, even with latest video card drivers, still very pleased with Platinum, and the AZ Controller.

That's cool! I was trying to make the bars peak the other day but the cpu bars where not really showing...
The funny thing was, that I was trying to see the bars and hopefully change the color...
I kept adding plugins and the bars didn't move much... I gave up...
Of course I had no idea the bakers had done something truly cool.. well until now!
Can't wait to get back to the music~! I have two songs ready to mix! but no time :(

    Thanks folks!

That finding and observation alone makes me very excited about installing the Aug release. This is fantastic news!

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

sometimes a wav file will look all moved out of place, then when I expand it, it pops back to normal...
or after I set the height to certain tabs, ie: console view for instance, switch to track view, then go back to console view the height is all changed, or the audio clip fades keep changing to different fades, like when I highlight, lets say 5 wav clips to fade all of them together they're fine, then after a bit they all change on their own to different fades,
strange, I have latest video card drivers, but no go.... is it affecting performance, or recordings? no, so I don't really worry about it, just more of a annoyance is all. All in all, I am very pleased with Platinum... been producing with Cakewalk since 1998.

I'm having some weird behavior with mutes, and the track view, but also having improved performance overall.

Actually just figured out my issue with mutes. New feature in Platinum for synths called Smart Mute was checked.
