CS EQ & Parallel LIFT+ MIX/MASTER & MIX/MASTER/FX BUNDES | Slate Digital

2 new modules released today:

http://www.slatedigital.c./products/custom-series/

There modules were a lot of fun to develop, and are wonderful to use. Purchase information at Slate Digital ($149 intro price for both modules).

Some tips (watch the videos first please):
- These are mostly inspired by clear, cohesive, mastering style filters so don't be afraid to push them, it's hard to make them ugly.

- Really useful to cut with one instance to fix problems transparently and boost with another instance to add more flavor

- Remember they work extremely well with the more colorful FG-N and FG-S

- These are awesome for mixbuss, and master buss, and are amazing for mastering.

I hope you love these two new guys, and stay tuned for more great stuff!

I like them, they came in handy on a few projects.
I did beta testing & had a few problems using them with X3e but I think most of the kinks are gone.
No problems with the RC yesterday. Worked fine in Cubase, Studio One too.

I just can't get an iLok to work on my system. I'm going to have to sell all of my Slate Digital licenses instead of adding this new one. Sad. And disappointing. Sure hope I can get my Melodyne license moved back off the iLok (even though they infer it's a one-way deal). Even sadder.

Do you have the latest software? Are you having activation problems or sending the licenses to your iLok?
I have a similar system to yours but Win7 x64, works very well. You're using Win 10, could be that's the problem?

Gotta hand it to that Slate guy ... he's a marketing genius.  A whole suite of top-quality plugins for around the same as what many Waves users pay for the WUP every year?  Brilliant!

If that Relab verb works better now (it was very buggy when I demoed it a while ago), this is just icing on an already delicious cake.  Oh, the next 4 months (at least) are going to be fun.

    Cheers,

I started on Win7. The driver for the PreSonus AudioBox 44VSL kept killing the iLok. I could sometimes get the License Manager up and get licenses transferred to it, but it never survived the ASIO driver taking exclusive.

My Dell XPS8500 has 6 USB2 ports and 4 USB3 ports, 4/2 on the back, 0/2 on the front, and 2/0 on the top. One of the top USB2 ports is powered. For the life of me, I can't figure out how many actual (physical) USB hubs I have and how they're all connected on the Dell. I uninstalled or deactivated every other USB driver I could. I clean-uninstalled and reinstalled the latest audio and iLok drivers numerous times. I let Win7 install the iLok driver. I even managed to keep the Realtek HD audio drivers from installing, and just ran the default audio driver. Nothing worked.

So I switched to a Tascam US-16x08 hoping for better. And then upgraded to Win10 and now waiting on an audio i/f driver update.

I found one possible avenue left to try yesterday on the Reaper forum. Someone mentioned d/l'ing and installing all of the VC++ (Visual Studio C++) redistributable files in addition to all of the regular C++ ones already installed. I figure it can't hurt.

I had a big problem with iLok License Manager installation after clean install of Windows 10. I found a solution after 8 hours of "trying everything" so I thought I will share it here - maybe it will help someone.

My problem: I couldn't complete installation of iLok License Manager - at the end of installation I got installer pop-up - "Error 1935 - blah blah blah .. numbers numbers, 0x80073715". After clicking "OK" installer made roll back and I couldn't authorize my plugins.

Solution: Prior to License Manager installation, install EVERY VC++ redistributable that is available: 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2013 from Microsoft page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003

After that I installed iLok Manager with no problems.

Anyone have a link to the new Relab installer?  I can't find the dll after running the initial install and I'm having trouble getting back to where I was.  New Slate plugs up and running, just missing the LX480.

EDIT: I found it under the Orders section of my Gobbler account.  Anyway, the installer had a quirk in my case where it put the 64-bit dll into my 32-bit folder.  Got it fixed and running now!  :-)

    Cheers,
    Eddie

Yah, thanks, I found it in there.  Not sure how I like the Gobbler-based installation routine, but it should be worth it.  :-)

I picked up the LX480 on sale a year or so ago, thanks to Larry. I also have the tape sim that I got on sale, and a few other ones they gave away for a while. At first my reaction was panic when I got the email about the new subscription model link to the video, until he said they are still selling them as always. Thinking about it, a pretty great idea to give the subscription option.
Not sure how long of an extended free trial I get. Looking forward to checking them all out for free :)

Also got it for testing a few weeks ago. These are two fine plug-ins, especially for "lifting" instruments in the mix. Try it on keyboards.

The lifting is parallel eq a la kush's Clariphonic. Works well on allot of material- ac gtrs, vox , synths. I also like to set it on the 2 bus & mix into it.
Unlike the Clarphonic this has the added bass lift feature.
