CV maximum fx option
Is there any way to limit the maximum number of visible fx in CV as it is with sends?

There is no limit to either. Both boxes are dynamic and will shrink or grow to show as many slots as you have used

I know. I want limit the number of fx from showing just as you can limit the number of multiple sends.

I don't want spend all that time converting. I'd rather just limit the space in CV so it's uniform, project to project.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but how can you possibly know in advance just how many plugins are needed on a particular track? The only way that I can think of to achieve any sort of uniformity is to dump them into an FX chain as suggested by scook above.

No offense taken, let me briefly explain. Knowing how many plugins being needed on a particular track isn't the point or issue. What happens to an increased or decreased size of the fx rack & how it affects or changes the CV screen area is. Chains are great to save as presets then insert into projects but generally I don't care for having them collapsed. I don't know how your graphics operate but I can't see anything in them when hovering over chains on my system only open / close. (That might be an nice feature add too: hover & expand.) I use a single monitor & when collapsed I have to open them up, scroll side to side to see what's there or which are engaged or bypassed. Not to mention extracting cause hiccups, stop playback or can make the system unstable depending what plugins are contained in them. And I don't want to stop playback & extract each time I only want to see what's in the chain, enabled or bypassed. Too much time wasted & room for error imo. ( again hover & expand) Also when converting to a chain in CV they're converted to chains in TV as well which I don't want at all. When using TV you can re-size, set & lock default heights. With sends you can select the max amount you want to see on the screen. It would be additionally nice if fx racks in CV were handled in the same manner. I was curious to see if it was possible because as you can see it would be useful in my case.

This is F&I territory. Why not create a thread there now that you know what you want is not possible ATM?
