timboe CW So far the list of fixes in X1b is looking good - I'm also sure there is still a lot to do ....... so ......... please delay the release of X1B until the end of March so you can engineer another 3 full weeks of "fixing" and then have a week for final QA and then release. We have waited this far, another 4 weeks of dedicated "fixing" wont matter and we would / should see the list grow even bigger. Tim They won't listen to you man .. you did not say "Please" and totally avoided the"thank you".

X1b is likely 2-3 weeks away at this point.

I guess I need to take a look at the bug list for X1b. I just finished my first project in X1a and accept for a couple of little things (console strips not staying wide) I had no real problems at all. I would almost be hesitant to install a new version at this point.

I'm sure everyone here hopes that whenever x1b is released that it will be alot more stable for all users. I hope they release it when it's ready.

spanky Eyes drumr "rushed"??? What's rushed? It should have worked from the git go. +1 If I spent 400 on a phone as listed above, and it didn't work as it advertised, I would complain and demand a refund. Cakewalk need to learn there is a limit to how far they can push customers with "releases always have bugs not possible in beta testing" statements. The only way for them to "learn this" is if everyone stops buying their upgrades. Agreed. In the case of X1 it was the stuff that was not advertised, like snap settings changed and midi tools disappearing (which was a feature nearly every review of previous versions of Sonar I have read praised), that caused alot of anger towards Cakewalk. In the end, as a business, if they continue practices that hurt the company they are going to suffer more than individual customers who could change setups if need be. Once you loose a customers trust it takes alot to get it back.

I would almost be hesitant to install a new version at this point. You are talking about wide/narrow strips in the Console View? It happened to me last night while I was using X1 and I thought I was going insane. Some of the strips in Console View would randomly change from wide to narrow. It would also randomly turn some of my track inputs on. I'm relieved to see someone else has run in to this bug, I thought it was just something specific to my PC. I posted a screenshot in another thread last night. Thanks, Bub.

I read the thread including the two posts linked below. The tools were changed, but not necessarily removed. The thread seems to have been started by someone who was new to X1 and didn't understand the new tools that X1 includes. The Smart tool is pretty cool in the PRV. Different for sure and takes some getting used to, but the functions are all there. And there's no changing tools. I know we can read whatever we want into a thread but I don't read that any PRV tools are gone, nor does my experience back that up. Oh 'enter same note length' is indeed missing but coming back in X1b. http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=2165781 http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=2166253

I also agree, screw that. Its easy I guess for people that can use to product more then 5 minutes before crashing. The other users that can not use the software at all, bought into a product that now has not worked for more then 3 months. I'd get out fixes asap.

HumbleNoise Oh 'enter same note length' is indeed missing but coming back in X1b. Sorry to be a pain, have Cakewalk confirmed this? I couldn't find it on the X1-b fix list, though it may just be phrased in a way I would miss.

We are talking reputations here! They need to get these bugs fixed fast because I know that anybody who is considering purchasing is reading this forum. I can't brag to other people about how good or great the package is no more. I would feel like I am leading them down a blind path and I know they would hate me for it. I don't want to jump ship but I am so affraid of bugs.
