[CWBRN-31812] CCC installs old version of Boost?
Here's an interesting one - in C:\VSTPlugins\Sonar I have a Boost11_64.dll which I think is the one I copied over from my X3 installation on an old PC. The file version there is 17.0.3.197. However, my Platinum installation via CCC has put Boost into C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Boost11, and the version on that one is 17.0.3.37. I would have expected CCC to install a later version for pretty much everything, so this was unexpected. I only discovered this because Sonar prompts me to choose between these 2 plugins at start-up. I will probably just remove one of them. This makes little difference to me since I use Voxengo Elephant for limiting; but I thought this was curious, and possibly something worth highlighting in case it reflects a wider problem.

I believe the last version of Sonar is 20.01.00 37 You should look into that before deleting.

It makes no difference to me as I don't use it, but the version number has gone down in the more recent Boost dll.

That is because the Sonar Platinum program also went down to 20.01.00 37. I think thats why Boost 11 has the same number.

I've got file version 17.03.254 but I also have 17.0.3.37 with a later date... It looks like the same file size. The product version remains the same, I suspect this needs to be moved to the problem reports forum there's something odd going on with their build versioning, needs to be reviewed for next release... Cheers...

Wouldn't 17.0.3.37 be bigger anyway, if you added an imaginary zero?

I think you'll find that .37 comes after .197 as it is a larger number in decimal

Regardless there's something definitely odd going on with versioning that Cakewalk need to sort out in their builds I think.
Can somebody please move this into problem reports forum?

Along similar lines: Due to past purchases I have five copies of DPro in my product list in the store. They are variously dated 9/5/2012, 3/13/2012, and 9/28/2013. Oddly, the version showing in my "connected" list is dated 3/13/2012, the oldest, not the latest. When I installed DPro from CCC, I found that two multisamples actually changed: trumpet 1 and something else. So which DPro is the latest and truly correct one? My two rapture copies have the same weird date inversion.

With the very latest update released moments ago this this has installed Boost11 to a location away from what the registry values states, and has changed the file version to 17.03.38 (probably for no reason). Could a host please move this to the problem reports forum and throw in [CWBRN-31812] into the subject title. This is definitely an issue with Sonars building process and installation. Thanks..
