[CWBRN-32517] Track Template Bug?

Hello All,
 
I think I just stumped upon a track template bug in X3e.
It seems like you cannot automate softsynth parameters IF the softsynth was added as a track template, but you CAN if it is a brand new instrument instance (chosen from the VST list).   
 
See the screenshots below.  The top track is a brand new instance of Z3TA+2.  I then made a track template of it, and inserted from the track template into Track #2, and look what is missing!

Anyone else getting this or know if its been reported?

    Undock the browser and add an automation track assignment to the synth using the automation track drop down "I" in the illustration below

    BOOM!   I'm new to the forums, but you are great!   I wonder why this is.  Seems like a bug still none-the-less, no?

    Don't know why it happens, don't expect it is by design. It has been around a while, probably been submitted to support before but feel free to enter your own report http://www.cakewalk.com/S...Contact/Problem-Report

    I agree, I don't think this is intentional. I wonder if it got "lost" when SONAR went to automation lanes?

    Yea, I bet this was an oversight.  I will place a bug report about it later. I am not at my DAW now.   Thanks guys!

    It was a problem before lanes. X1 has the same behavior.

    Can anybody confirm perhaps this has been fixed in Platinum?

    Hello,

    I will report this, just wanted to see if anyone else can reproduce.
     
    In the image below, I added a softsynth and expanded its automation lane, where you can see it lets me pick a softsynth parameter:
     

     
     
    Then I made a track template of THIS track.
    I then open the track template and no longer is the option to choose a softsynth parameter in the automation lanes:
     

     
     
    Sorry for the weird tint on the 2nd image lol.
     
    Can anyone else confirm?

    Scook, this still doesn't solve the issue even as a work around because I still can't use automation lanes to draw in automation lines.  This requires me to make manual movements with rotaries instead.

    But the automation lane never appears.  Yes I can control the automation in the synth rack, but not in an automation lane.

    Once undocked and the automation track is specified in the synth rack, the plug-in with all of the automation parameters are added to the track automation lane drop down (at least that is how it works for me).
