[CWBRN-40963]Automation envelope does not follow audio clip after closing automation track
1) Record 5 seconds of audio
2) Open automation lane using button. Volume Automation lane opens. Add a trivial automation.
3) With the automation lane open, in the main track, change the Edit Filter to Volume. This causes the auto lane to close and the Volume Automation envelope is now over the clip in the main track.
4) Change the Edit Filter from Volume Automation back to Clip.
If I now drag-move the clip, the clip moves but the automation stays put.
However, if after step 4) I first go to
"Options>Select track envelopes with clips"
and I deselect, then reselect the option before moving the clip, the automation will follow the clip.
Please note that the setting is ON from the first step right through to the last.
Somewhere along the line, Sonar loses cognizance of that setting.
To be honest, there are several odd behaviors that I bumped into whilst trying to reproduce this. One was the Volume Automation Envelope jumped from the automation lane to the main track whilst the automation lane was still open. Another was when double-clicking the audio clip, it would open in the loop constructor, but would disappear from there if I drag-moved the clip in the audio track. But later on, it would NOT do that anymore.
I have to go to sleep now, I have been chasing this since yesterday. But in general, I have the impression the Automation Tracks need a proper looking at.
