CWDXPX1.dll not found

Dudes:

I get this error when running the 451 VST adapter, I've reinstalled from scratch to no avail.

Any chance someone could send me a copy of this file (and where to put it)?

Thanks - rev

Could be a path issue. Is the file actually on the system? Do a search. Move it to a folder when executables are located.

I found it in all the places you'd think of putting it, so I'm stuck.

    I'll try Windows\System

    (Later)

That worked, if you get the same error, copy the file from wherever you find it to c:\Windows\System

    Martin:

I fixed it by copying it from the path you mentioned, to C:\windows\system

That path is on the search path for DLL. It likely is going to cause a few hundred ms pause, but who is counting. Maybe someone with Sonar near by, could look to see where the file should be by searching for it and reply with that information. I'm not in my studio right now. Sorry, but glad you got it working.

    CWDXPX1.dll

In my system it's in program files\cakewalk\sonar ver

don't have a copy in windows system.

So obviously the system directory is in the search path for dll's ... but why isn't sonar searching it's own directories first? This could come back and haunt you... Check your paths in sonar maybe?
