Subject says it all. That is so frustrating! argghhhh.... IF you zoom into a section and try and nudge to line things up you lose the entire location. That should definitely be fixed. I think.

I believe it shifts to the beginning of the clip you're nudging, each time you nudge it. This can, at times, be a bother.

If I am reading this correct you want to move something but its locking "to the grid", if thats the case you can turn it off by pressing N. This turns off the snap to grid, it works with the arrange pane and the note pane in the pattern editor, whichever has focus. This means that you can move things about freeform.
Sorry if that isnt the answer to the problem, but thats how I am reading it.

Maybe he's saying that the grid is working, but the focal point changes after he moves it and he has to scroll back there afterwards???
Crabby...we aren't understanding exactly....hehehe

orobos had it correct. It doesnt matter if snap to grid is on. zoom in on a section of your project, it doesnt have to be an obnoxious zoom. if you try to nudge left or right you lose your focal point.

Ok so if I get it you are saying that if you select a clip that starts on bar 4 and move it to start at bar 5, that the focus does not move with the pattern, but instead remains at bar 4.

ohhh your still here... I think we might be over thinkin this one. Just seems like a bug to me. I dont see why i should lose the focus of my zoom just because I try and nudge. Syrath put any clip with some music in the arrange pane (not at the beginning)...zoom in to a spot that you want to nudge (with or without snap to grid on (choose 1/32 or smaller) ...try and nudge it left or right and you will lose the spot you were trying to focus on... I am not taling nudging bars Im talking nudging fractions of bars.. for whatever reason sometime my clips dont line up and i need to nudge them just a tad. the mouse doesnt allow me that accuracy... yep..

I see what you mean, it only occurs beyond a certain level of zoom, and yes that is strange , Im guessing thats a bug.

Oh, I misunderstood I apoligize. What the hell is Illindianasconsin ? No problem.... The thing is Im from Chicago (Ill), I live in (indiana), my family is in wisconsin. So its a combination of those. capiche'? Im moving back to Milwaukee May 25th though so pretty soon I will have to take the indiana out of there. FINALLY! I've been in Indiana waiting/supporting my wife to graduate...now she is graduated got a job and going to support my dreams! its a beautiful thing P.S. Thanks about the song on my website. I have several tracks i could publish right now but im just putting finishing touches on them. i might just sit on them....not literally!!!!!!!!
