Cake's CA-2A plug vs. UAD LA2A.

Cake's new CA-2A looks sweet!  Unfortunately, I already have the UAD LA2A, so I probably don't need it.

I wonder how the two measure up?

From my limited testing they seem just about the same.

I only got since it was a $20 upgrade for me (and I like to be on the bleeding edge).

Which is pretty darn good for those needing an LA2A type plug.

It is such a good plugin for vocals.

I also like Ren Comp, TLA100 and Old Timer on Vocals

I also have the Softube VC-2A and find it to be virtually identical to the Cakewalk version in terms of sound. However I'm drawn to the ProChannel version simply because of its convenience.
