Cakewalk 2016.10 is now available!

Don’t worry, you don’t need glasses—it says “Cakewalk” instead of “SONAR” update. But there’s a good reason for that: While our SONAR dev team is hard at work on some bigger features that will roll out in the next few months, we decided it was time to add some features and fixes to other popular products in the Cakewalk lineup.
 
The SONAR 2016.10 update is now available via Command Center.
 
New Features in this update:
Softube Console 1 Support: And not just any support, but through a Softube/Cakewalk collaboration, Console 1 is now more than just a very cool channel strip—it’s graduated into bi-directional communication with SONAR, track/bus selection, and much more. This update is expected to be available from Softube in Early November.
 
In this update are the following fixes:

• Possible crash when removing Saturation Knob from a bus
• Move Tool was not accessible when a Take Lane was at minimum height
• Possible startup crash related to SQLLite
• Possible crash when adjusting fade-ins for multiple audio clips simultaneously
• UpSampling didn’t work correctly in some cases when the project sample rate was 88.2 kHz
• Disabling “Follow Host Tempo” could yield unexpected results, like volcanoes and plagues of locusts
• “Follow Host Tempo” could go out of sync on Melodyne clips that were trimmed
• [SHIFT]+[CTRL] dragging a clip horizontally inside Take Lanes didn’t anchor correctly
• Several labels in the Plugin Manager were cut off in Brazilian / Portuguese
• Switching the Matrix View’s active MIDI cell after at least one loop would stop playback until triggered
• Dragging clips out of the Matrix View to the timeline could result in incorrectly placed clips
• The Number Pad didn’t work as expected when the Step Record dialog was open
• Full Screen Mode Icon did not display in some projects

 
Coming Soon—Rapture Pro and Rapture Session Enhancements: Although the core install now includes 50 new Polysynth programs, that’s not all—you’ll also find multithreaded loading for those files with big samples, better program management, resource sharing to avoid loading redundant samples, and bug fixes.
 
Z3TA+ 2 Update: There’s been an improvement to the authorization process for both Mac and Windows computers that are on slower connections. You’ll also find bug fixes for MIDI files with long arpeggios, and now when you pick a controller in the modulation matrix, you can rest assured you’ll get the one you expected.

Also having trouble, either claims there's no connection or checks for updates very slowly.

Once again, the greyed out, cannot MOVE ANYTHING during updates (and HAVE IT properly updated in Registry without hacking) from the initial install location  "feature," that was hard coded into Sonar 2016.09 updates pkg has now infected  Z3TA+2 with its latest update.   
 
And so you don’t have to go read old posts [re: same issue]:  it doesn’t matter if you run the updates under Cakewalk Command Center or run update manually, which is what I STILL do with all installs and updates .  Yes even with CCC and Verbose Mode on (even money says someone asks "did you try verbose mode" later anyway, of course same folks will probably ask "why would you want to" - immaterial question)
 
While Z3TA+2, and its content, is relatively SMALL, hence its update "feature" a minor irritant, but the upcoming promised Rapture Pro enhancement probably WILL NOT be small.  I also suspect it it will NOT (finally) install into ONE overall location path, instead of installed into multiple disparate paths.
 
I hate the fact that now it seems if we previously installed a CW product we CANNOT change its location during update, like you use to be able to do, unless we completely uninstall it first - then reinstall (and its contents, libraries, add-ons/ plug-ins, samples/ multi-samples)
 
I assume all future Sonar and CW product updates will continue this nonsense given the nonsensical CW response as to why they did it starting with Sonar 2016.09 (paraphrasing):  help folks keep their hard drives organized/clean and again I say DUH?   Sonar even during a clean, initial install, with all defaults, for just a SINGLE user, already installs files, and creates new paths, to too many disparate locations.  If keeping our hard drives clean - CW could start with cleaning that install mess.
 
Been with CW since DOS and current Lifetime SPlat user/owner so I've already laid my money down and I'm in for the duration.   Reason I have almost never posted in all these years is  becasue I have never needed to.   Technically I've never had (many) issues that could not be solve without just a minimum of OS, MIDI, audio, and basic DAW concept knowledge and a little reading comprehension.
 
But these last few updates, and the now apparent CW making life harder DICTATEs (it really smacks of Steinberg attitude e.g., Cubase install and use crap. BTW: I truly hate Cubase becasue of how they assume users SHOULD  do OR configure things - but I still have to keep it around and current for others) are slowly cooling me off to anything CW.   I was getting tired of hacking registry to move CW stuff around anyway (e.g., studio Instruments multi-samples, before that it as Dim Pro)

As a new customer I'm glad to see that updates seem to be frequent. Thank you Cakewalk for making such a great and affordable DAW.

It's "SQLite", not "SQLLite".

I clicked on the "click here", there I clicked on "My Products / View Your Products" and there it is.
 
Choice of two mirrors, like all other products.
 
Why not put CA-2A under the button instead of CCC?
Not only that, it's only 19Megs and downloaded in minutes.
