Cakewalk A500S (Windows7, 64 bit) not recognized under Midi Devices

Hello,

I buyed an A500S and got also the Sonar LE 8.5. The drivers were set up for 64 bit under Windows 7.
Everything seemed to be OK but playing the A500S was not possible. After activating A500S under Midi Devices...and returning to Midi Devices........ A500S was deselected as if I had selected nothing.
There  appeared also a mention that no midi instrument was selected in midi devices.
My computer was token over by Roland Belgium 5 times via Team Viewer 5. I reinstalled all programs 8 times. I reinstalled the whole under a different user. I deinstalled for this my anti virus program (with nefast issues...) and the only solution mentionned by Roland Belgium now is to reinstall my whole Windows 7 64 bit. This would be a real desaster ...there are many programs on it as Omnisphere from Spectrasonics, Absynth 5 from Native Insruments...and so on and so on.
For sure there is something wrong with the 64 bit driver of A500S.
Installing the whole on my wive's desktop Vista Home was no problem at all. But my wife donn't like I should use it further more on her desktop. I can hardly take an another wife with desktop who allowe's me...
Please can anybody give me an alternative?

    Mine works ok on 64bit.
No idea why it shouldn't work for you.
Did you try plugging it to a different usb port?
