Cakewalk Generic Controller setup.... Help needed

So, I found a tutorial on setting up a Cakewalk Generic Control surface, and decided to set it up so that my Oxygen 49 could do more than simply play notes. However, the problem I'm having is that when I try to assign different buttons to mute different track strips, they all mute the base channel. I am not having any trouble getting rotaries and sliders working, but for some reason I can't get the mute buttons to work. Any advice?
