Cakewalk Guitar Tracks 2 Questions

I have used this software on every windows program so far.  While using it in Windows 10, however I notice continual dropouts.  Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to listen to recorded tracks while I record another track.  I have 3 wave files loaded in the first 3 tracks and am trying to record a fourth track but every time I hit record, tracks 1 through 3 go silent.  

It's been a while since I have used this software but I don't recall this problem before.

I'm thinking I've forgotten a step.

So, I guess my question is, how do I listen to tracks 1, 2 and 3 while recording track 4?

I should mention the Help file no longer works.  When you click on it you are routed to microsoft page.

I suppose I need to upgrade my software but money is an issue.
