Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro

I have looked through my index of help topics and can find no reference to " monitoring " 
I want to hear myself whilst I record but,as yet,cannot find out how !
I plan to use headphones ,I should say.
 
 
Am I overlooking something obvious ?

    Hi
    check your track button next to the recorder button and check your Input/ OUTPUT CONNECTION
    Take a look at Input Echo button help file and input monitoring.
