Cakewalk HQ

I have heard it said that when the 'Bakers' are quiet, they are at their busiest. Well, they have been VERY quiet now for a VERY long time.

Either there is a very substantial patch about to be released or they have all been laid off. Thoughts?

Highly doubt any layoffs. I'm sure they are real busy.

Hope they are busy.  But there have been a few stops by the Bakers - Seth shut down one thread.

Well Roland did let Mike Smith go after many years of great service to the Company. Now he's with Zildjian. Our two Cakewalk guys are gone . No One from Cakewalk is giving us any news or updates. Strange indeed.

Not sure I like this new trend of Cakewalk having hardly any involvement on the forums.
Sure, there are many experts and long time users here that can problem solve and help fix issues, but there really should be some connection
between Cakewalk and the customers on the forum.

Hopefully, some new personalities will establish a presence here in the near future, but for now it feels like we're a small department in the big box store, Roland.

    It's not a new trend.

    +1

I'd rather have them working on SONAR XXX than answering "I can't record my flutaphone" queries.

Sure, it's a peer to peer forum, though I have received tech support from Cakewalk employees in the past on this forum.
We'll see them here next when they have something new to sell.
Also, I just don't think they "step in when necessary" as often as they should.

This is the final assimilation of Cakewalk into Roland. Could turn out different than anyone expected.

You have to subscribe to their forum?  I'm w/ Marx - Groucho not Karl.  I wouldn't join any club that would have me.   A body has to have standards.
