Cakewalk Help not available... uh oh... - Problem has reoccurred.

This morning, 6/14/2014, I hit F1 and couldn't get help in English.

    That looks like a Google translate JavaScript widget. If you are already on a page it thinks as English (whether this is true or not) it would not show it as an option.

    Without a URL it would be hard to diagnose.

    I just hit F1 from within the application and got the error.
    I'm still getting the error.
    On further look, it seems to have more to do with Documentation Not Found than it does with the language.

    One of the down sides of having your program link directly to a website for help by default. Probably the issue you are searching for has not been updated since the help file (chm) on your hard drive was created, so it should still be available there.

    We recommend clearing your browser's cache if any new topics are not displaying for you. You can also press F5 to refresh the current page you are on. The offline .chm version has been updated as well. No action is necessary for those changes. If you prefer the offline .chm version, you can set F1 to open it by default by going to Edit > Preferences > File - Advanced and selecting "Always Use Offline Help".

    You could email support or PM one of the staff and let them know. In the interim, there is a local copy of the help system on your PC. It is used when the PC is not connected to the internet. SONAR will always use the local copy when "Always Use Offline Help" is enabled in Preferences > File > Advanced. In order to get to the advanced settings, select the Advanced radio button at the bottom of the Preferences dialog.
     
    There is also a pdf of the help available for download called the "SONAR X3 Reference Guide " http://www.cakewalk.com/S...and-Quick-Start-Guides

    Yeah, it is back again. The Welcome page would not resolve when I wrote my reply. Still understanding the alternatives to the web-based help is handy. The web-based help is the most current. The local help is a snapshot made just before the release of X3e. The pdf is a snapshot made just after the release of X3a (the original download version).

    Sonar X2 and X3 English are showing "Not Found". At least I can click on German and use Chrome translate...

    Sorry for any headaches/inconveniences - in our scramble to fix the problem that cropped up over the weekend we put in some extra logging to isolate any special requests that may have caused it to get into that broken state. Well our extra logging broke - double fail. This should be mostly resolved now and if it breaks again we'll have all the details we need to fix it.

    I totally got that one. 'The internet is broken' must stay! And it should be error '11' not '404' (or maybe that can be reserved to Sonar X4). There's definately some issues with Google indexing as well but sod them they won't even pay Indy labels properly on YouTube.

    I love that show. Unfortunately there were not many seasons and the seasons and episodes were short. Think I burned through every episode in less than a month on Netflix. Looks like they started making it again but have not seen the newer season.
