Cakewalk Home Studio & X3

I have had these two programs for around 10 years and have used them regularly.  All of a sudden I can not hear the drums tracks on a lot of the midi files I have used and heard before.  Cakewalk themselves do not support these two programs and won't return my calls or emails.  Can anyone offer some suggestions on what I can do to resolved this issue?

Do you have the midi track associated with an audio source (internal/plugin or external)?  Midi on it's own doesn't produce any sound.

A rack of noisemakers is not a definitive substitute for creativity. (though it does seem to help)

x3 has not been around for 10 years, it came out in 2014.
home studio has been around a long time. you are probably trying to play home studio midi files in x3 but don't have the virtual instruments anymore (home studios virtual instruments)
load the project and re route the midi tracks to different VST-I's

this very normal as older programs like home studio used DXI plug ins. X3 uses VST. different wrapper. different plug ins.
