I use Audacity with LAME encoder.
 
Import wave, then export to 320 kbps mp3.

 
Just in case you didn't see it, post #3 up above shows you how to get the LAME encoder inside Sonar.
 
I believe an advantage of doing things this way is that you get to use the last version of the encoder.
 




Yeah I saw it, but I'm so used to Audacity that's almost automatic .
 
And fits my workflow better, from mixing mindset to amateurish mastering mindset.
