Cakewalk SONAR X1 Producer Volume Output Levels

I recently purchased SONAR X1 Producer for a Windows 7 PC.  When I record new tracks and either monitor or play them back, the volume is extremely low.  When I load a Cakewalk tutorial and play it back, the volume is fine.  I'm playing bass through a Radial JDV Mk3 and M-Audio ProFire 610.  Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

    Check the settings on your onboard dsp mixer.  Also under edit/ preferences,  I think under audio drivers/outputs or something like that  ( not at my DAW ) make sure the master bus in Sonor is routed to the proper soundcard output.

    Make sure the output from your amp into your sound card levels are adequate. Better to turn your monitoring level down and get a good level into your sound card first.

    Thanks for the responses. I think I need to check my input levels. That would make sense being that the tutorials are working fine.
