Cakewalk SONAR X1 Producer Volume Output Levels

I recently purchased SONAR X1 Producer for a Windows 7 PC.  When I record new tracks and either monitor or play them back, the volume is extremely low.  When I load a Cakewalk tutorial and play it back, the volume is fine.  I'm playing bass through a Radial JDV Mk3 and M-Audio ProFire 610.  Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

First, is your recording level high enough? Typically that should be between -6 and 0 dB at it's peak.
You set that level in the interface; SONAR has no input level control.
Is the playback level high enough?

I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.
    Everything is better with pie.

Greg -- Thanks for the response.  You are probably right and it is with my input levels.  That would make sense being that the tutorials are working fine.
