Cakewalk Sound Center & AmplitubeXGEAR Aren't There?

Hi, I have bought a copy of Music Creator 5 two weeks ago, and well, I installed it onto my computer that's running Windows Vista and the sound center and amplitube plugins aren't there. Uninstalling it and then reinstalling it didn't do anything about the missing plugins. They weren't there either way. So, I'm kind of at a loss. Is there anything else I should try other than reinstalling?

where are you looking for them?  how are you trying to get to them?

you get to them in 2 different places since one is an effect and the other is a synth.  soundcenter should be accessable by INSERT>SOFTSYNTHS>SOUNDCENTER
amplitube should be accessable by right clicking in the FX bin of an AUDIO track and selecting it.

look in the cake walk folder..... see if they are there....

did you download it or buy a boxed version?

In the boxed version I have they automatically loaded and linked up. But if they don't, be sure they are on the computer in a folder.... maybe even in their own folder and not the cakewalk folder..... find them and use the plug in manager to link them up in the scan.

Yeah...also...as Beagle says, they might be there, and as a new user, you just have to learn how it all works.... they must be manually inserted to work properly and show up.

Sorry for delay for replying. I searched the files and found them, then added them and they're loaded into the program. Thanks!

By the way, when I am playing back my tracks, some of the notes don't play. It doesn't stop playing completely, it just skips some notes. I'm not too sure what to do.

probably due to latency issues.  what soundcard are you using?

you can try moving your latency slider to the SAFE side in OPTIONS>AUDIO and that might help.

otherwise, you should consider getting a better soundcard with better drivers.  check my website for some recommendations.
