Cakewalk Sound Center help

Hey, gang. Another "user error" situation with me...!

I downloaded the Hammond B-3 Organ by DSF at the Cakewalk store.

I can't get it to play in my X3d. The Sound Center opens up, no prob. But when I hit the tone choices for the Hammond B-3, a window pops up stating:

"IDS_MULTISAMPLE_NOT_FOUND not found in text resource file!"

I did a forum search here before posting.

I've gone to the plugin manager and tried to create a path to the folder where these sounds are, but I can't find 'em...

Thanks.

The plug-in manager is not the solution in this case. The error seems to indicate the sfz files are not in the correct location for this installtion of Cakewalk Sound Center. To correct the problem is going to take a lot of guesswork without more info. If this is a Steam based install, there are threads about this in the Steam forums with solutions. If this is a download from the Cakewalk store or DVD install, if it is a 64bit only installation maybe the multisamples got installed in the "Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Cakewalk Sound Center" path instead of "Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Cakewalk Sound Center". The fix in this case would be to locate the sfz and sample files and move them into the correct directory. You could contact DSF support directly.

Thanks, scook! I'll check the paths you suggested and hit DSF Support, if all else fails....

I am having the exact same problem. Running X3e 64 Windows 7. All my original issue Sound Center stuff is working; however, I just bought 3 expansion packs and I get the same exact error message. Samples are located as listed above.

What else can I do? Does Cakewalk Support address these problems or is this just user supported?

    Thanks in advance.

Cakewalk Sound Center is supported by Cakewalk. AFAIK DSF makes all the expansion packs and they support their products. You can try either company's tech support for your issue. If you are looking for answers here (on this user forum), it might be useful to have more information such as the path to the Cakewalk Sound Center plug-in, the paths to the 3 Expansion Packs and the path in "Installation Folder" in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk Sound Center\1.0

Were the expansion packs installers run as administrator?

If you are running 64 bit, copy/merge  the entire contents of program files/cakewalk/Vstplugins/Cakewalk Sound Center to same under program files (x86).   Apparently Sound Center is a 32 bit application and no when bundled with newer versions of Sonar, it seems to put it under the 64 bit path.    I tried this and all my new sounds (hammond and steinway) all work now
