Cakewalk Studio Instruments into Cubase

Hello everybody,
although I plan to use Sonar for as long as possible, I am experimenting with a complimentary copy of Cubase LE, to get prepared just in case, and I am facing some issues with some Cakewalk virtual instruments as vst plugins. For instance, SI-Drums and Session Drummer 3 work just fine but SI-Bass and SI-Piano not. SI-Bass is fine when used mono but in polyphonic mode notes do not stop when released but continue and decay after a very long time, overlapping with the following notes. The same thing happens with SI-Piano. Decay time is so much longer than it should.
Is anybody facing the same issue? Does anybody have a solution or workaround? Has anybody tried with other DAWs?
Thank you for all replies.
Rob.

Ive had this happen with SI bass on some pre sets in cubase Elements. It would be great to get advice on how to sort this. The instruments in sonar are the easiest to use.
