Cakewalk Tech Support in UK?

Hi All

Does anyone know if there is any tech support for Sonar 8 in the UK?

I have loaded Sonar 8 4 times now and I still don't have any Drum Maps.

All suggestions on a previous thread have not sorted the problem.

Thanks

Alan

    Hi Alan,

Edirol Europe supply the support for Cakewalk products purchased in the UK. The support line phone number is 0870 350 1515 charged at the UK national rate (whatever that is, I should look it up some time!!!) Their Website is www.ediroleurope.com I used it to help with configuration issues when I first got started and there is a guy called Phil who I spoke to a few times and he was great, hopefully he is still around

    Peace Love and Understanding

Do the drum maps come in as additional content?  I thought a bunch of that stuff came in on a separate install than the Sonar install - meaning content that requires an additional execution of an installer to get what they called 'Additional Content'.

The Cakewalk website only serves up Windows drivers, probably because the SPS 250 was a Windows only package of the Sonar Studio software with the SPS-25 interface. You might be able to use Mac OSX drivers found on the Roland website for the Edirol UA-25 or you might not. There could be differences that will screw things up, so be sure you have a way to roll back your Mac OS to a pre-installation state.
